Hi! I am a future Mainer, looking to connect with those interested in making herbal medicine, full & dark moon rituals, and drumming. I will be taking up residence on a farm in Oxford County. Hope to meet others of a like mind.

fire ants. lot of them. any way to rid them from my garden? my blackberries and strawberries were filled with them this year and Blue, my hound dog, brings them in from outside. their bites burn.

Thank you Linda. Would have never thought of garlic or the juice. I will write that as one suggestion and the person that needs it will give it a try. Will let you know how it works out.

Many blessings and thank you again!

How about garlic or garlic juice? That's good for infections and just about anything else involving germs and diseases, so it might work on a fungus.

Well Met Everyone, Our herbal group got together today and a couple of us had a question of interest. When we go to the doctor for a fungus bothering the toes and creeping under the toenails, the doc seems to auto perscribe an antibiotic. Is there anything we can do with herbs to take care of this issue. We must have made tons of fungus jokes to each other, but none of us could come up with an answer...of course we are just beginning and the computer was in use where we met. Any one have a suggestion?

Thank you Aurora! Yes, I can see what you are telling me. Very helpful indeed and can barely wait to discuss.
Many Blessings!

Hi Ealadiar, This section here is just a place to comment about the group itself. If you want to start a discussion, you should click on the link above that says "Start Discussion". Then you can post your comment/question/etc and it will show up in the "Discussion Forum" above this. I believe that if anyone that replies, you will receive an email notifying you. Then you can log in and reply back. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it!

I don't think I understand how all this works. When someone places a comment, does only the person placing the comment receive an answer? Is not up for all to see and discuss? And I did see the discussion portion, but it appears again, that only one person is posting information, and the responses are not there for anyone to see. What am I missing? Not quite computer literate...lol. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have a friend who has stage iv colon cancer that has spread to her lungs. She is too young for this, but there it is. I would like to make her an herbal amulet to wear through her chemotherapy. Do you all have suggestions as to what herbs (or minerals or other things) that might make an appropriate addition? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, What fun to be able to learn about herbs from all aspects, magick, legend and lore, healing properties and anything else that may pop up. I am excited about learning and sharing. We have so many gifts from the Earth to learn about and how they sustain us and not harm Earth Mother.
