There's a group in the Midcoast starting a Witches Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/MidCoast-Witches/?gj=ej18 . What else is going on that would be of interest to Pagans in a specific area of Maine?

Some people say that technology is antithetical to nature. I believe that technology is a tool like any other, and that if used correctly it can bring us to a greater appreciation of the wonders of our world. This video, with images from NASA, is an (awe-inspiring) example. Continue

USM/Portland area Pagans

I'm going to be a grad student at USM this fall and am hoping to revive the Pagan Student Association. I need USM students, particularly undergraduates, to help with this effort, and members of the Pagan community in the Portland area to show up and encourage the students. Interested? Send me a message or e-mail jane@janeraeburn.com

Books for beginners?

Here's a question that comes up from time to time: What books or other resources would you recommend for a newcomer to Wicca/Paganism? Answer in the comments.

most children raised unaffiliated with a religion later chose to join one. Indoctrination be damned. ... Most said that they first joined a religion because their spiritual needs were not being met. And the most-cited reason for settling on their current religion was that they simply enjoyed the services an

I have a new friend who knows about Wicca and Paganism. She's willing to help me learn what I need to know. I'll still look up books and websites to help me out. I feel like a lucky man.
How is life treating you?

My Wife, my big sister, and I are looking into Wicca. I'm happy to know other Pagan live around here. My wife and I are Sea Dogs season ticket holders. We also have a 7 year-old female brown tabby cat named Bubbles. I felt like a fool for missing Beltane at the Beach. Will the Pagans have a Litha celebration?
