I'm learning Wicca and Paganism, so I like to check this out. This will be a nice change of pace. I can learn how Pagans celebrate Yule. Mainstream Holiday Season celebrations seem to focus on presents and Santa Clause, too much. I'm looking forwa...

About Me:
I am a writer-dancer-artist, a sometime poet and closet singer. I have a corporate day job that is my secret identity. My superpower is my own business.

I love horror movies; the more zombies the better and if it has eighties music and big hair...that's a bonus. I collect vampire and occult folklore with a preference for local New England tales. I adore spooky stories that make me go to bed with the light on. I also entertain myself with martial arts films.

I like to workout and have a very difficult time if I have to spend a day not doing something physical. I have been known to try to lift heavy things just for the fun of it.

I don't smooch and brag. I don't like doing dishes, laundry or making the bed but I do them anyway. I have been known to crush on anime. I love my big black boots. I sleep with a stuffed bunny named...Mr. Bunny. I like to give backrubs (and recieve them!). I think I probably talk too much...

My creative passions are writing and dancing. I love to move and often express what I am feeling through dance and other forms of movement. I am on the verge of becoming a performance junky. I write nearly daily (yes more than just here) and have a goal of getting something published in the next year.

I grow things. Mostly in pots in my small back yard. I craft with yarn, fabric and paint. I find new uses for old things. Like most crafters I have an excessive collection of materials that I have yet to organize and an overly long to do list.

I am one of the co-coordinator's for Beans, Leaves & Deities: Pagan Coffee Chats held in Portland, Maine the 2nd Saturday of the month from September to April.

I live in the city, though not a large one; I am at home here. I see the cycles of nature here among the bricks, just as much as I see them among the trees.

Bad day? Big fail!!

Someone or something seems bent on trying to make me have a bad day…

I woke up after stressful dreams with worries about money and moving in my head, but there were sweetie and kitteh snuggles to be had to chase it all away. I was flipped off and called a name I shall not repeat on my way to and from the gym because I apparently was not moving through the crosswalk quickly enough for some very important people who obviously had somewhere they just had to be, but I had a fantastic workout in bet… Continue

Moving Assistance Needed July 2nd

Three weeks from today, Thursday, July 2nd, I am leaving behind my Gilman Street digs and moving up to the West End. I am looking for some assistance. I know it is a Thursday and thus folks availability may be limited, but I think I will only need a few extra hands. I will be renting a truck so that I only need to pack and unload once. I will have everything in boxes and moved into the front of my apartment. The only really large/heavy items will be two dressers, my bed and the futon mattress.… Continue

Thankful Thursday...

The things I am grateful for today:

…that I am fed, sheltered, have a job and am generally healthy.

…the Serenity Prayer, I’ve found myself making use of these words more often than usual this week. It just reminds me that I need to be able to let go of those things I have no control over AND to not obsess over them , and to keep myself focused on those things I can actually impact and change.

…all of the support that I receive from the people who are a part of my life.

…patience with myself… Continue

Hey, Joie, so glad you could join us here! I'm completely bummed that I can't get to Pulp Friction, and hope to catch something another time. I didn't know you perform until now! (Oh, you know me, but by another name...) Is the tattoo new/real? Looks great either way...
