Unfortunately, if you want more than10 yards, Boston is your best bet, or New York in the garment district. However, if you go to Joann's you should be able to order something as easy as black wool in the amount that you want. And they guarantee it..so if there is a some damage, you know like a big pull, or the fabric is sewn to an odd piece 3 or 4 yds in, they will reorder. We use the one in Newington and have never had a problem dealing with them. I am sure they would be just as helpful anywhere. But you can also order from Joann's on-line, and they have been pretty reliable. I need to get my stuff delivered at work, and since I am only there Tuesday through Thursday, it is a tight time schedule; they always try to accomodate. Where you are only making a Snape cloak I suggest you order from the store.
I just don't enjoy having to go to more than one place for fabric, I am not a shopper. LOL. Well, have a great night and if there is anything else I can help you with, don't be afraid to ask.
I left a note the other day and it blew up as Maine Pagans was updating. Do not know if you received it or not, but would be happy to talk costuming with you. We recently took on a cartoonist who likes to bring his hats to life...we do a lot of ren costuming, anime, and star war/trek; oh and role players. My biggest bain is finding enough fabric for when we have multiple costumes.
Well Met. It is nice to talk with someone who is nearby for a change. I am actually just outside of Alfred in Lyman, but still close enough. While I am not Wiccan, I still would love to discuss it with you as to how it relates to my Druidic beliefs. /|\
