PS another way I like to use bells for cleansing is to hang them on the door! The sound works nicely with the nature of a threshold and it seems to help keep the energy balanced as people come in and out. I also like wind chimes for this purpose.

Liam is living here now, although we're still waiting on his Greencard, but it should be resolved soon. He's been here since March, so this is his first real winter here. I think he's hanging in there, but he's yet to see the real force of winter! It should be interesting!

OH! I forgot....my husband's name is Liam :) He is very thrilled to be having a girl this time (although I think he secretly wanted another boy so the 3 of them could be "3 musketeers").

Hi Renae! Sorry I haven't checked this site lately, with all the holiday madness going on! The sonogram showed we're having a girl! So we'll have a boy sandwich with my son in the middle! Yes, my daughter's name is Elizabeth, and she is even more lovely this year than last year! She still comes to rituals with me when we have the chance to attend them. It's harder to attend rituals with my 19 mo. old son, so we wait until we have childcare and leave him behind. She'll be thrilled that you remembered her!

Renae, we had a GREAT handfasting in Saco! We had a son, who is now 19 months old. We'll find out tomorrow the sex of this baby that is due May 8 but will likely come via csection probably right on Beltane. Buxton is great - so quiet, and only 20 min drive to work in Saco! Great to see you back in Maine :)

You know what? I remember you now from Saco! So glad to reconnect with you! We're living in Buxton now, and have another baby on the way!

About Me:
Hello! I am a 27 year old woman living in Auburn. We just moved back to Maine after living in the DC area for awhile. I am a Mommy to two amazing little children. Serenity Azlyn is 19 months old, and my son Sebastien Zurich is 3 months old. I am married to my best friend of 10 years, Adam. We love spending our time with our children exploring parks, trails, lakes and ponds. I have fundamental pagan values but I do not identify with any particular dogma. I simply love the earth, and celebrating its cycles. I enjoy wondering about the universe and the infinite possibilities of what we are, who we are, why we are.

Inauguration Lullaby For My Son

*Original post on SebastienBair.com*

You haven’t been in this world for even a year yet. Your only troubles have been about things like soiled nappies, the occasional feeling of hunger in your tummy, or the toys that your big sister swipes from your hands whenever I’m not watchful. You delight in breasts being full of milk, the warmth of my body, the softness of your bed, and the sunshine lighting up your play room. Your laugh is new and your voice is learning its rhythm; your legs can carry yo… Continue

Inauguration Prayer for my Daughter

*originally posted to SerenityBair.com*

Today you listened to Barack Hussein Obama be sworn into office as the 44th president of the United States of America. You may only be two years old, but you know Obama. You’ve heard his speeches of hope and you’ve seen his gentle face and unwavering eyes address our nation, and our world. I write this in your blog now because I don’t believe there has been such an important moment in our history as this one. Not only is he the first black president, but… Continue

Zeitgeist The Movie

I watched Zeitgeist (the movie) this evening, and I am absolutely blown away by what I've learned from this movie. I wonder if many others have seen this yet. And if so, WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? The movie tackles religion in general, and actually focuses on a lot of points I've thought about covering in a book I had been wanting to write titled "The Greatest Sin" -- which would of course be religion itself. Then the movie moves on to tackle our false assumptions about what happened on 911, and prob… Continue
