Take a hard look at Islam, Christianity and other religious sects. It is a constant thread throughout their teachings. Most of the fundamentalist protestant churches and catholics teach that their particular version of Christianity is the only int...

Another thought; Do as thou wilt an it harm no others. If folks wish to dance skyclad under a summer moon so be it. That is they're choice. If they wish to dress in something of a costume to express themselves in the worship of their gods, let the...

Thank you! I would be quite interested in meeting this person. The hearts on my hands and the dogs on my shoulder are celtic. My family is very anglo-saxon. English, Welsh, German, and Scottish. The hearts are a celtic knot take on the contemporary symbol for the human heart/and or the love emotion aka a celtic knot in the shape of a heart. The 4 interconnected dogs on my shoulder represent the four people in my immediate family... on my family crest is the always faithful silver dog. Therefore four celtic dogs. This tattoo was styled after traditional Irish Celtic knots due to the three dot symbol that's found in each dog. This symbol of three dots forming a primitive triangle was prolific in the traditional cetic knots, perhaps they were a primitive representation of the triskle triad- the three spiral druid symbol representing the three plains of existence- earth, sky, and sea. Another little tid-bit of info! "Celtic knots" weren't originally Celt in origin. They came to the Celtic isles from the Norse Germanic pagans aka the vikings. But the Celtic people did make them their own when Christianity inspired artisans to elaborate the interconnected art form, for example- the book of Kells. .. the end.

I would love to hear about the rituals you have worked up. Although I'm not a Celt by blood I am a Celt through and through by heart. Hope to hear from you soon, live well and be blessed.

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you.Not everyone needs many words to express themsevles.I wish I could cut back myself.I am afraid its genetic for me.My dad could talk ur ear off!
Sorry to hear that your wife and you do not see eye to eye on some things. My husband and I have things too we disagree on too. After all we are from different parts of the country! It is hard work to live with anyone! We do appreciate eachother more lately,as we live apart during the week. Some ways its good,
other ways its bad.We were seperated for a while a few yrs ago,but learned where we both went wrong. Now we keep our friendship in the forfront always~!It has given us a better foundation to build our future on.I have to say, most people think we ae nuts, but it works for us.You should do whats best for you,as she needs to do whats best for her.If you do not love yourself first, you can not truely love others. If it is important enough you can comprimise in a way that it works for both of you.
I wish you much luck, patients, and friendships that last a lifetime!
Many blessings,SW70

Thanx for the add!Looking forward to getting to know you better!
I am a pretty easygoing person myself. My husband and I are a bit reclusive as well.{sometimes by choice}Often these times we live in are difficult to understand! We were both raised by our grandparents and often feel that the world today is lacking of some measure of repect and compassion for others!I believe in not judging others too harshly as we are all human and we are never perfect.{perfect is sooo boring!}I strive to learn from others and to embrace the good in life! Its the Journey that counts!
By the way,did I menion that I talk too much!Have a great week!

About Me:
I am a single, retired Army veteran. I am studying Gaelic/Irish/Druidism with a little native american spiritualism thrown in. I have been following the Druid path since 1988 off and on. I now fully embrace it because I couldn't stand the thought of being part of any monthiestic religion that kills people in the name of their religion. I also hold high day rituals on the appropriate solstices and equinoxes. I am constantly searching for spiritual meaning in my life.

Harmony

I watched an old Disney movie today with my son, and I was struck once again by how the Native Americans lived so harmoniously with the earth. I find that so peaceful, and I wish I could live like that now. I so want peace in my life, to live in harmony with the land and all its inhabitants. I wish I could just run away sometimes, away from all of the disharmonious people I meet everyday. Live in balance with the land around me, using only what I need to sustain my life, nothing more; to be in s… Continue

Samhain in Northern Maine

I thought I would render a comment on following the Druid path here in Northern Maine. I have found only one other practising Druid up here who is even more solitary than I am. I am a new member of Ar nDraiocht Fein Druid Fellowship, a nationally recognized Druid organization. I am and will always be a solitary practioner because I am reclusive by nature on a personal level.
I spend a lot of time (for me anyways) working on rituals to fit my birch grove behind my house. I figured that since this… Continue
