daughters of eve
if there is a word for shame it is apple
so place it on your tongue and taste
its smooth red skin and bite
deep if there is a word for apple it is bitter
so let the juice run down your chin across
your hand and
drip if there is a word for body it is seed
and its luscious taste turns toxic in our
throats its razor edges pierce our naked
insides if there is a word for beauty it is secret
grave shadows ghost girls and pushed-up
daisies if there is a word for woman it is shame…

The feel of forgetting, the flavor of bliss
How do you like your masochism? Bite-size? Raw?
Or in large chunks so you have to shove it in,
your thin cheeks bulging, chewing madly, tasting only
the first phobic shock of tongue-touch?
How badly do you need this?
In bed your lover's hands brush your surface skin, a gentle echo
of your own rough touch--
fingers that know the anatomy of the throat, the vulnerable places, coaxing
the sudden squeeze of the belly,
the release,
the meat that rapes yo…

If anyone is interested in going with, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to come get you or meet you at Fire Sign.

I found this poem on a website called The Modern Pagan; it is under their "Domestic Pagan" header, under Magical Laundry. I pretty much love it. I really want to take a embroider each of these stanzas onto some cloth, and stretch them on hoops or in frames, and hang them above my washer and dryer in my laundry room.
I'm thinking about taking from this and creating some sort of laundry ritual for each time that I do my laundry; maybe add some herbal sachets to my wash water with unscented soap,…

Samhain Song
It is an old story, the oldest story:
the lesson of death, the etch of change, the vital
return, so different and yet
so very much the same. This is the story
of life written in the language of fear.
This is the story of living.
The dry scritch of leaves travelling
from sidewalk to grave
is an ancient song, a modern
interpretation on a prehistoric theme. This bone-chill
is the same touch of winter that my great-
grandmothers felt year after year.
It recurs for me.
This is the sea…

"Is it wrong for me to love my own?
Is it wicked for me because my skin is red?
Because I am a Sioux?
Because I was born where my father lived?
Because I would die for my people and my country?"

Just got back from Common Ground Faire last weekend and now headed to Western Maine this morning and coming back home tomorrow.
That's 600+ miles in 24 hours!!! Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr............... Seems like I am on the road constantly!
That old adage in Maine that 'You can't get theya from heeya' is crap since you CAN and I DO quite often. It just takes a loooong time to drive from one end of this state to another.
Have a great weekend all...looks like rain. :~ (

The Portland New Church: 302 Stevens Avenue, Portland

Unfortunately I had problems w/ this place and was forced to redo my email but by doing so my old identity (and page) is now inaccessible to me and I am getting nowhere in the way of help from "Ning" or whatever they are called.
Sorry folks...but I will have to start this all over again and have to duplicate much of what I have already done.

Hey...I hope EVERYONE has a GREAT weekend!
Me...I am heading into Canada for a bit to have some printing done to prepare for Common Ground Faire.
Whilst there I will hang around and maybe smoke a Cuban cigar or two (sniker).
One of the benefits of living @ the end of the eastern side of the United States @ the end of I~95...and having a Nexus card....It is fairly easy to come and go here.
Oh Canada...

I wanted to share some news with my friends and other interested members here at the Maine Pagans site. I have blogged here concerning my own unique path of pagan hunting spirituality and many of you have contacted me or commented on those writings sharing your appreciation and offering words of encouragement and inspiration which I have appreciated more than you know.
A few weeks ago I was asked by the President of a national media company with roots here in Maine if I would be interested in b…
