Crescent Moon Herbals

A Perennial Course in Druidry & Samhain Sweatlodge at Crescent Moon Herbals

I am so very pleased to announce that Snowhawk is returning with two programs here at Crescent Moon!

1. The first program is a year-long course in the indigenous spiritual tradition of the British Isles - Druidry. It is a series of 12 sessions and will be held monthly. The program begins on May 17th. Sessions run from 11-2 p.m. on their respective days. The cost for the entire year-long course is $295 and is due in full no later than May 9th. HOWEVER, we are offering a discounted rate of $225 if you preregister and pay in full by April 17th. A notebook and printed course materials will be provided for each participant at the start of the program. Space is limited, so I am providing this announcement separately from my regular newsletter. The deadline to register is May 9th in any event.

2. The second offering will not take place until Oct. 17th. This is entitled "Tides of Dying" A Samhain workshop and sweat lodge with Druid Priest, Snowhawk. It will be held from 12-8 p.m. on the land at Crescent Moon. Due to the nature of this workshop, it will be limited to 12 participants. The cost of this workshop is $75.

To read the complete details of each program, I am attaching flyers relating to each. To register, please call 207-457-1114.

Snowhawk (a.k.a. Kevin E. Emmons) is a Druid priest and a native of Maine. He is 43 years old and has been on the Pagan path for more than 20 years. His pagan studies began in earnest in 1990, completing a year-long apprenticeship in shamanism studying cross-cultural shamanic traditions including Peruvian, Japanese, Hawaiian and Native American teachings. In the mid-90s he began exploring the European Pagan spiritual traditions which has led him to his life path, Druidry. He is a student and colleague of Emma Restall Orr, head of the Druid Network based in the United Kingdom, working with her since 2000 and completing her year-long Living Druidry Course in the Cotswolds in 2006. He refers to his craft as Animistic Druidry or Mud and Blood Druidry. In his role as a Druid priest, he is actively involved with Pagan prison ministry. Besides teaching workshops and mentoring students, he has worked publicly leading ritual, giving lectures and radio interviews to share his vision of Druidry.

Boy, I sure would like to partake but I live to far away to attend any classes or such. Would it be possible to make occasional inquiries about the druid lifestyle? I am a practicing solitary in Caribou, Aroostook County and would love to be able to ask the occasional question once in a while. I am a member of the ADF organization and have been activley researching their archives to draft rituals for myself but I am always looking for insights that apply more to our environment here in Maine.
